You take part in a speech contest: play the role of one of the inventors, prepare your 3-minute speech showing that your electricity distribution system is the best one, then declaim it.
To do this task, you need to:
- choose between Edison, Tesla or Westinghouse,
- choose in the lesson traits of the inventor's personality, what he invented, what his major contributions were,
- list the main features of the inventor’s electricity distribution system,
- explain its advantages over other systems (i.e. safety, efficiency, accessibility...),
- include historical context:Why was this system important at the time?,
- write a catchy introduction to draw in the audience and a strong conclusion that reinforces why this is the best system,
- use linking words to structure your speech,
- use the present tense, as if it was happening now.
